Temple of Tea
5-MINUTE RELAXATION RITUAL
Pour yourself a warm cup of comfort, and slip into this mini-portal of presence
Grounding your nervous system into presence has a Midas-touch effect on every area of your life.
When you’re present, you tend to make clearer decisions, have richer relationships, and see your life less as a list of demands, and more as a feast of beauty and abundance.
You’re less likely to disappear into numbing habits, and more likely to reach for what makes you feel whole and alive.
But sometimes, presence practice just seems like it takes…too much.
Too much effort, too much time, too much discipline.
When everything feels like work, including your practice of peace, it makes sense that you might distract, resist, or make literally anything else a priority.
( I planned to meditate , but isn’t it more urgent to hand-vac the crumbs out of my cutlery organizer? Why yes, I believe it is.)
The more grounded and centered we are as human beings, the more whole and harmonious our world can become.
A centered heart creates ripples of beauty that impact everything in its field. Compassion, kindness, and love scatter like seeds.
But for feminine beings in particular, sitting still for hours on end doesn’t always cut it.
Our nervous systems are designed to merge with life through our senses, to taste, touch, feel, and express life, instead of detaching, or observing it from a far.
My mission is to make presence practice feel like velvet.
Soft, enchanting, and buzzing with with creativity.
Today, we’re going to set a place for presence practice to join us at the charmed table of tea.
Taking this ritual as old as time, that may get swallowed by the routines of the day, and transform it into a flower-laden altar of peace, in just five-minutes.
Begin your charm by pouring your warm beverage of choice.
Fix it as you like. It should be warm, but cool enough to take a long, full sip.
Hit play on the audio below, and allow this ritual to enfold you into a cloud of fragrant steam and comforting warmth, in just five minutes.
